Time

When do you expect your situation's outcome to occur?

Or, in less awkward phrasing: when will you know if your prediction is correct?

  1. I expect that the healthcare reform laws will be brought to the Supreme Court before the next Presidential Election in 2012. This time frame is based mainly on intuition, but it seems likely that this controversial law will have to be resolved before then. If not, the healthcare reform could be used as a tool that republicans use against a democratic nominee.

If the law is not brought to the Supreme Court before then, it will be before 2015 (let's hope it's sooner!). This is because in 2015, all changes outlined in the healthcare reform laws are planned to be put into effect. Before this happens, however, the law must be shown as constitutionally congruent.

  2. We will know the outcome of my prediction in November of 2012. (Presidential Elections)

  3. The outcome of my prediction should be known fairly soon, but it all depends on when it makes it to the highest court it will reach.

  4. My prediction attempts to pinpoint an overall trend occurring within the international monetary system. However, I believe that my prediction could be checked in a year. My prediction could either break down (if an assumption of mine fell through) or be supported (with new signs of the overall trend) during that time.

  5. My prediction is that the cartel coalition will occur, at this point, within 2-6 years. I say at this point because I have yet to revise my paper/supplement the prediction time frame with further research.

  6. Yeah - along the same lines as Hannah, I'll know by April of next year whether or not my prediction was accurate.

  7. I believe that the time will vary a bit depending on what Rowling decides to write, but I expect that it won't take any longer than 5 years for a finished product and no longer than six months for us to know what sort of track she is heading towards.

  8. I'll know by the end of the 112th Congress. Maybe sooner, if something does happen.

  9. I'll know if my prediction is correct by the end of the next legislative session which will begin in January 2012.

  10. The outcome for my prediction will most likely be known by either October or November of this year. Once the election has taken place and the president is chosen, it will be easier to see whether a democracy will form or not in the country. However, there are some 'swing' actors in which case if they were elected the prediction will not be known until a bit farther into their presidency.

  11. I will know that my prediction is correct when it happens.lol I imagine within 2 years which is when a new president will come to office in DR. It might change the game but I dont think that anything will change at least not anytime soon. It will probably take a whole generation for a change in attitude which the country isn't ready for.

  12. From the time that this lawsuit was filed (July 2010), it would usually take up to two, maybe two-and-a-half years to reach the Supreme Court, given its wide coverage in the media. The only thing that could bring this to a head before that would be if the Republican candidate won in 2012 and had a different agenda for this case, possibly pressuring the DoJ to drop it altogether.
